About

Hi, I am Mes Bera, a Hungarian artist who loves to create experimental art with plants, creatures, and imagined forms, sometimes placed in surreal or quietly unfamiliar environments. I refer to this way of working as Creatureography and Botaniography. I mainly work with graphite, watercolor, and digital painting.

Currently, I live among sand dunes and poplar trees in the countryside of Hungary.

I am an explorer and adventurer at heart. If not in nature, then in my drawings and paintings. I search for the mystical, the fantastic, and the beauty of the strange unknown through the hidden worlds of the unconscious and other dimensions.

Being the witness and the co-creator at the same time is what motivates me through my creations.

Earlier work
Some of my earlier works focus more strongly on imagined creatures and narrative scenes, touching darker or more fantastical territories. These pieces remain an important part of my practice and can be found in a separate archive, documenting earlier explorations that inform my current work.

Current work
More recently, my focus has shifted toward close observation — flowers, plants, and living forms — explored not as symbols or characters, but as presences.
